The direct path to holiday pleasure

The Hotel Matterhorn FOCUS is perched on a hill, with breath-taking views of the Matterhorn.  At 4478 meters high, the Matterhorn is of one of the highest mountains in the Alps - and one of the most famous mountains in the world. Its distinctive shape in harmony with nature radiates an irrepressible energy and casts a spell over the beholder.

The design hotel is directly next to the "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" valley station, which allows you direct access to the skiing and hiking area. The quiet neighbourhood at the edge of the village is the ideal base for nature lovers and sports fans. In less than 10 minutes, you can walk to the village, where the day and night-life pulsates. The "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" station of the public village bus (E-bus, red line "Winkelmatten") is located directly in front of the hotel entrance.

Arrival in car-free Zermatt

Whether you travel by train, taxi or helicopter, we will pick you up from 8 am until 7 pm free of charge with our electric vehicle from the taxi stand or Zermatt train station. Please inform us about your arrival time. You can make use of this hotel service exclusively upon arrival and departure. During a stay, the hotels in Zermatt are not permitted to provide their own taxis service. Alternatively, you can use private taxi companies or the public E-bus line "Winkelmatten". 

Arrival by train

 Travel comfortably and stress-free by rail directly into the car-free village of Zermatt. In Visp, transfer to the Matterhorn-Gotthardbahn. Departures take place every half hour. The terminus of the famous "Glacier Express" is also called "Bahnhofplatz Zermatt"! If you arrive by plane, you can transfer at the airport to the train and reach Zermatt from Zurich-Kloten in 3.5 hours and from Geneva-Cointrin in 4 hours (change in Visp). Taxis or helicopter (Air Zermatt) offer an alternative.

Arrival by car Zermatt is car-free.

Access for private transport is only allowed as far as Täsch (5 km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is closed to public traffic. From Täsch, you continue by train or taxi / limousine service. The "Täsch-Zermatt" shuttle train runs every 20 minutes. The journey time is 12 minutes.

Either park your car at the “Matterhorn Terminal” multi-storey car park at Täsch train station or at one of the private taxi companies and drive comfortably with the taxi to the village entrance of Zermatt.
